"Checkout was smooth and stress-free"
Checkout on sierra.com was easy. I added everything to my cart, and in my head I was like, okay, let’s see if this is where something gets annoying, but nope. The cart updated without any weird issues, payment went through quickly, and the confirmation email showed up right away. Super simple overall, which was exactly what I was hoping for

"Delivery was fine, but the updates were a little hit or miss"
I did end up getting my order, so no big disaster there. The only thing was the tracking updates were kind of all over the place. I’d check the status and it would just sit there unchanged for days, then I’d finally get an email after the package had already moved along. It made the wait feel a little more uncertain than it needed to, but the items did arrive in the end.

"Delivery has been dependable"
I’ve ordered from Sierra a handful of times now, and the delivery has been mostly solid. The tracking updates were easy enough to follow, my boxes usually showed up when expected, one order did come a day late though.

It wasn’t a big issue since everything was packed well and nothing was damaged. I’d probably give it 4 stars overall, the delivery is good, it’s just not totally perfect every single time.

I’ve ordered from sierra a handful of times now, the main reason I keep coming back is that they usually have the items I’m actually looking for. Sizes can still be a little hit or miss, as they are with most retailers, but I’m typically able to find solid options without jumping between ten different websites. My most recent order included hiking shoes and a couple of jackets, and everything was in stock, shipped without any issues, and arrived as expected. Overall, it’s been a smooth shopping experience, and I’ll definitely keep checking sierra first.

"Pretty much exactly like the photos"
I ordered a jacket from Sierra and it showed up looking about 95% like the pictures online. The color was right, the fit details matched, and the fabric looked how I expected. No weird surprise when I opened the box, which has definitely happened to me on other sites a few times. Overall, really happy with it.

My order status wasn’t updating for a few days, so I started feeling a bit pressured and worried that something was going wrong. I reached out to customer service and they got back to me quickly, which helped. They explained what was happening, although it still took an extra day to get everything sorted. The person I spoke with was really nice and helpful, so even though it wasn’t perfect, I was happy with how they handled it.

"I’ve ordered from Sierra a few times…"
I’ve ordered from Sierra a few times now, the prices are usually better than what I see in stores. Shocking, I know, paying less for decent outdoor gear is apparently still possible. Not every deal is some life-changing bargain, but a lot of the outdoor stuff is definitely way cheaper. Shipping was normal, nothing glamorous or magical, and everything showed up like it was supposed to. I like that I can grab decent brands without handing over my entire paycheck. You do have to dig around a bit, and sizes disappear fast because apparently everyone else also enjoys saving money. But overall, for the value, it’s been worth it for me.

I ordered from sierra.com and, i wasn’t totally sure how smooth the tracking would be at first. But it ended up being really clear the whole way. I could see when it shipped and when it was out for delivery, and it actually showed up on the exact day it said it would

"Smooth pickup, just wait for the ready email"
I ordered a pair of shoes on sierra.com and picked them up at the store the next day. They had them ready up front, and the guy working there was friendly. I was in and out in maybe 3 minutes, so it was super easy. Just a heads up to anyone else: I’d wait until you get the pickup confirmation before heading over, but other than that, no issues at all. I’d definitely use store pickup again.

"Easy to shop, but a little communication would help"
I use Sierra often when I’m looking for outdoor gear or shoes, and for the most part the site is really easy to use. The search works well, and I like being able to filter by size, brand, and price so I don’t have to scroll through a ton of stuff I can’t actually buy.

The only frustrating part is that some items seem to sell out really fast, and I’ve had moments where something looked available until I got further along. I get that it happens, but a simple apology or clearer message would go a long way. Overall, I still usually find good deals without too much hassle.

“Once you decide to make a return, you can apply online for an INSTANT CREDIT, whereby you will be charged $2.95 for return shipping. Then the item needs to be shipped and IN THEIR HANDS within TEN DAYS. If they receive the item later than ten days, you will be billed an additional $6.95. That said, Sierra Trading Post often gives six months for you to decide if you want to return the item, but recently I have noticed that their policy has changed and some items are not returnable at all. I hope this helps -- I am just figuring out the recent policy changes myself.”
